A musician who works for this in Mexico convinces his girlfriend, the variety star Reyes Mendoza, to stand up for the Villas cause and to offer active support; a well-known singer would be unsuspecting. Mendoza does this, but falls in love with Ricardo Penalver during her performances in northern Mexico.
