history

Hohe Elbe was founded in 1563 by the Goldenstein rule . It is believed that the settlers came from the town of Hohenelbe and named the new settlement after that. In the hoof register of 1677, eleven farmers and nine bystanders are identified for the village. Since 1784 the Hohe Elbe belonged to the parish Neu Ullersdorf . In 1834, 243 people lived in the 37 houses in the village.

After the abolition of patrimonial High Elbe / Vysoká Elba formed a district of the community Neu Ullersdorf in the district Mährisch Schönberg and judicial district Mährisch Altstadt from 1850 . There was a mill in the village. In 1900 Elbe consisted of 52 houses in which 279 people lived. Most of the residents worked in the Heinrichsthal paper mill and in the manorial forest at that time . After the Munich Agreement , the place was added to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the Mährisch Schönberg district until 1945 . After the Second World War, the German residents were expelled . The resettlement with Czechs took place only to a small extent. In 1949 the place was given the new name Labe . As Labe 1976 together with Nové Losiny after Jindřichov was incorporated, it lost the status of a local part and sank to a belonging to the district Nové Losiny settlement down.
