Lachlan Buchanan (born April 25, 1990 in Maleny , Queensland ) is an Australian actor .

life and career

Lachlan Buchanan was born in April 1990 in Maleny in the Australian state of Queensland and grew up there. He has five siblings, including Australian actor and dancer Andrew Buchanan. He attended Maleny State School and Matthew Flinders Anglican College. He's a keen surfer and moved to Los Angeles in 2010 for an acting career . He is fluent in French.

Buchanan's first acting experience was in 2007 in an episode of My Embarrassing Parents . This was followed by a small role in All My Friends Are Leaving Brisbane and his first leading role in Newcastle . In the film, which was released in 2008, he plays the surfer Jesse Hoff . Buchanan did most of the surfing scenes in the film himself. In the same year he got a supporting role in the daily soap Home and Away as Pat Jenkins . Buchanan became famous in 2008 for his starring role as Charley Prince in the third season of Blue Water High .

Due to the success of Blue Water High , he also received assignments from outside Australia. In 2010 he was in two episodes each of Hung - Much Better and My Superhero Family . Since then he has been increasingly represented in US television series and has made various guest appearances there. In 2012 he got a leading role in the first self-produced sitcom of the television channel CMT Working Class , which was canceled after a season due to low audience ratings. In 2014 he starred alongside Nat Wolff and Selena Gomez as Billy Bender in the film Behaving Badly .
