Geographically, the municipality of Laholm can be divided into three sections:

  1. The coast in the west with extensive tourism and recreational offers. Here in the towns of Mellbystrand and Skummeslövsstrand you will find Sweden's longest sandy beach, at 12 km.
  2. The Laholm plain with fields and farms
  3. Forest areas in the east and south

Around 28% (250 km²) of the municipal area is arable land.
