Lamin Marikong

Lamin Marikong (in sources also as Mrikong , probably a typo) (born March 14, 1970 ) is a track and field athlete from the West African state of Gambia who specializes in short distances . He once took part in the Olympic Games .

Olympia 1992

Lamin Marikong took part in three competitions at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona :

  • In the 200-meter race , Marikong was assigned to the first round of the fifth group. He finished the competition in sixth place in a time of 22.33 seconds. He did not qualify for a second round.
  • In the 400-meter race , Marikong was assigned to the first round of the sixth group. He was disqualified during the run and did not get into the next round.
  • In the 4 × 100 m relay competition , he ran together with Dawda Jallow , Abdoulie Janneh and Momodou Sarr . Marikong ran as fourth of the season, which was last in the run-up with 40.98s and thus could not qualify for the semifinals.
