The National Forest Service , Italian Servizio forestale provinciale , Ladin Sorvisc forestal dla Provinzia (also: Unit 32, forestry ., Ital Ripartizione provinciale 32, Forests , Ladin. Repartiziun provinziala 32, BOSC ) includes forestry and forest police - authorities of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano - South Tyrol . Areas of the forest inspectorates and forest stations

The legislative competence of the Province of Bolzano for forestry arises from the Second Statute of Autonomy (Art. 8 Para. 1, in particular P. 21, "Forestry and forest staff", Italian "foreste e Corpo forestale"). According to Section 56 of the Forest Act, the State Forest Service is composed of

  • the directorate of the regional forestry department
  • 4 central offices with specific tasks:
    • Forest Management Office (with 3 forest gardens)
    • Office for Mountain Economy
    • Forest Planning Office
    • Office for Hunting and Fisheries (with 3 departments for hunting and fishing control)
  • 8 forest inspectorates with responsibility for several municipal areas
  • the State Office for Forest and Domain Management
  • 38 forest stations as operational units of the forest inspectorates and the state enterprise for forest and domain administration.

In 2018, the State Forest Service had 376 employees, of which 293 (78%) were in the enforcement service (State Forest Corps) and 83 (22%) in the administrative service.

State Forest Corps

The enforcement staff of the State Forest Service with police powers is formed by the State Forest Corps (Italian Corpo forestale provinciale , Ladin. Corp forestal provincial ). It is distributed across the four job profiles

  • Forest guard (5th functional level; 51%)
  • Forester (6th functional level; 23%)
  • Forest inspector (VII. Functional level; 12%)
  • Forestry councilor (IX. Functional level; 14%).

The proportion of women is 6%.

Spatially, the area of ​​responsibility of the state forest corps extends over more than 372,000 hectares of land with trees and shrubs.

The Landesforstkorps is objectively entrusted with the supervision and control of the legal provisions in the following areas:

history

The state forest corps was established by the state law of September 7, 1973, No. 33. A predecessor was the forest protection service under the Austrian Forest Act of 1852.
