The country house for the merchant Franz Hartung is located on Altfriedstein 6 in the Niederlößnitz district of the Saxon city of Radebeul . It was built in the years 1909/1910 on one of the high, northern construction sites of the Altfriedstein villa colony by the Dresden architect Richard Aurich.
description
Shortly after the development of the northern area of the villa colony, designated as Planstrasse A (today Altfriedstein Street ) , the country house , which is now a listed building , was built on three parcels east below the Meyer estate , which was built two years later and dominated the area . Today the property is located within the conservation area Historic vineyard landscape Radebeul .
The country house stands at the upper end of a curved driveway that can be reached through a large gate system, guarded by two eagles. The single-storey building stands on a high basement and has a high, extended blue mansard roof . The original building has a "moderately picturesque [...] formation with stylistic echoes of the architecture around 1800." In 1935/1936, the Chemnitz architects AG Oehme created a large extension with the same eaves height , but one on the right side of the main view Hipped roof of lower ridge height .
Approximately centrally in the main view is a buttress with a loggia with outside staircase to the garden and a pillared upper room with exit from the loft conversion.
Today there are five apartments in the house; the total living space of the country house is 675 m².
