history
The adoption of the Reich Nature Conservation Act in 1935 created the basis for the establishment of the nature reserves Roschertal and Spitzberg between Hainewalde and Scheibe , which are located in the area of today's landscape protection area. These two areas also enjoyed special protection in the GDR, so in 1972 the Roschertal was placed under protection as an area natural monument , in 1982 the Scheiber Spitzberg was placed under protection.
After German reunification, both area natural monuments were combined to form the Scheibenberg and Roschertal nature reserves , which in turn merged with the Schülerbusch reserve in the LSG Mandautal in 2005 .
