The Landshuter Brauhaus AG is a medium-sized private brewery from the Lower Bavarian town of Landshut .

history

Building of the former Kollerbräu in Landshut's old town

The year of foundation, to which the company's brewing tradition can be traced back seamlessly, is 1493. This year the Landshut purity law was also announced. The original brewery was the so-called Kollerbräu in the lower old town , where beer was brewed without interruption until 1942. Under brewmaster Franz Koller, the property was extensively rebuilt in 1881 and was essentially given its current appearance. The Koller family, who have been Bavarian brewers since the 17th century , received their connection to the city that still exists today in 1848 with Franz Koller's branch in Landshut. In 1923, the Kollerbräu merged with the Fleischmann brewery and, at the same time, it was converted into a stock corporation ; this was the only way to ensure the continued existence of the company. The present brewery on Pulverturmstrasse in the east of the city of Landshut was put into operation in the 1960s.

Today the beer of the Landshut brewery is served in numerous inns and restaurants in and around Landshut, especially in the brewery's own Gasthaus zum Freischütz in Landshut Neustadt . The brewery is also represented at the Landshuter Dult (Spring Dult , Bartlmä dult). The annual Landshut strong beer festival is carried out by the brewery itself.
