Langmühle is a district of the local community Lemberg in the Rhineland-Palatinate district of Südwestpfalz .

location

Langmühle is about two kilometers southeast of the core town in the northwestern Wasgau , as the southern part of the Palatinate Forest and the adjoining northern part of the Vosges are called. The Buchbach, a source river of the Salzbach, flows through the middle of the village .

history

Langmühle also historically belonged to Lemberg, which was located in the Lemberg Office of the same name and there in the Lemberg District School . The office - and with it Langmühle - belonged initially to the County of Zweibrücken-Bitsch , from 1570 to the County of Hanau-Lichtenberg , from 1736 to the Landgraviate of Hesse-Darmstadt , from 1794 to France , from 1816 to Bavaria ( Rhine district ) and from 1946 to Rhineland- Palatinate . politics

The district of Langmühle is one of four local districts in the municipality of Lemberg and has its own local advisory board and a local councilor .

The town council consists of five members in the municipal election held on May 26, 2019 in a majority vote were elected, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

Uwe Gebhard (SPD) became the mayor of Langmühle in 1999. In the direct election on May 26, 2019, he was confirmed in his office for another five years with a share of 70.99% of the votes.

There are several restaurants in the village and a hotel.

Culture

The following are identified as cultural monuments on site:

  • A half-hip roof building from 1770, which is located on Mühlstrasse .
  • The forester's house, a three-sided farm in "simple home style " built from rubble stones, from around 1920.
