Langston Uibel (born February 4, 1998 in London ) is a German actor .

Life

Langston Uibel was born in London in 1998, grew up bilingual and is therefore a native speaker of German and English. Langston Uibel has lived in Berlin since 2006. He continued his bilingual education at a German-English grammar school in Berlin. Langston Uibel also owns the Dalston Jazz Bar in London with his father.

After a minor role in Speed ​​Racer , Langston Uibel played in Alexander Frank's short film The String Puppet , which was shown at the Berlinale Talents in 2008 , the role of a child soldier who lets himself be distracted by puppet play from killing two Western soldiers. In 2013 he worked on Der Ring: Next Generation , a Deutsche Oper Berlin production for young people. In the same year he had a supporting role in the movie Hanni & Nanni 3 . He was also seen in the ZDF series Last Trace Berlin in the episode Offside Trap . In the movie Freistatt , released in 2015, he played the role of Anton , who, as an Afro-German pupil, was exposed to particular harassment. From February 8, 2016, Uibel was seen in Lord of the Flies: survival mode at the Deutsches Theater Berlin . Uibel played the role of Siddharta Schlonz in the movie comedy High Society by director Anika Decker , who has to deal with his sister being mistaken. Uibel took on the role of German national player Raphael Bou'Penga in the Netflix series Dogs of Berlin .

In 2020 Uibel appeared in the Porsche commercial “The Heist”, which premiered as part of the Super Bowl LIV . In the same year he was seen in the Netflix productions Isi & Ossi and Unorthodox .
