The Lannertbach is an orographically right tributary of the Grubebach in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany . It has a length of 4.8 km.
River course
The Lannertbach rises in the Feldmark southwest of the settlement area of Rietberg and flows off in a northwest direction. First, the water crosses the Ahnhorster Mersch and then leads east past the Rietberg district of Bokel . North of Bokel, the brook forms the border between Rietberg and Rheda-Wiedenbrück for around 700 meters and finally flows on the right into the Grubebach, which in this section is referred to as the Bokel-Mastholter main canal .
Characteristic
The Lannertbach is a typical flat brook of the Ems sand plain with a low mean bed gradient of only 0.6 ‰ and a correspondingly low flow velocity. The brook almost exclusively crosses agricultural terrain and is used as an amelioration body of water, which gives it a trench-like character in some sections of its course .
Not to be confused with the “Lannertbach” at Westerwiehe, which also runs through the Rietberger district, but which is an oxbow lake of the Furlbach .
