Lars-Eric Lundvall (born April 3, 1934 in Karlskoga - † April 8, 2020 ) was a Swedish ice hockey player .

Career

Lars-Eric Lundvall began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown at IFK Bofors , for whose professional team he was active from 1950 to 1955 in Division 1 , which was then the highest Swedish league, as well as the second-rate Division 2 . For the 1955/56 season , the winger was committed by Södertälje SK , with which he was Swedish champion straight away . After another season in Södertälje, he played for a year for his home club IFK Bofors before he was again on the ice for Södertälje SK in Division 1 from 1958 to 1960. The Swede last ran from 1960 to 1968 for the Västra Frölunda IF , with which he also won the national championship title in the 1964/65 season.

International

For Sweden Lundvall took part in the Winter Olympics in 1956 in Cortina d'Ampezzo , 1960 in Squaw Valley and 1964 in Innsbruck . At the 1964 Winter Games, he and his team won the silver medal. He was also in his country's squad at the World Championships in 1957 , 1958 , 1962 , 1963 and 1965 . At the World Championships in 1957 and 1962, he won the gold medal with his team. As the best European team, Sweden also became European champions. At the World Championships in 1958 and 1965 he and his team won the bronze medal, and at the 1963 World Cup, the silver medal.
