The Lars Gullin Prize (also Lars Gullin priset ) is a Swedish music prize that has been awarded annually since 1997. The award is given to a musician, composer or arranger who works in the spirit of jazz musician Lars Gullin .

Awarding

The prize was donated by the Lars Gullin Society together with the district administration or the Culture and Leisure Committee on Gotland and the Orkesterjournalen magazine . Proposals for award winners that are submitted to the Orkesterjournalen or the society form the basis for the decisions of the board of the society.

The award consists of a travel grant of 20,000 Skr , financed by the Laila and Charles Gavatin Foundation, and a statue, financed by the Gotland region, designed by the Gotland artist Stina Lindholm . The winner will be honored at concerts in the church of Sanda on Gotland and in the jazz club Munkkällaren in Visby , at which first the statue and in Visby the scholarship is presented.
