Lars Weisbrod

Lars Weisbrod (* 1985 in Bremen ) is a German journalist and author .

Life

Weisbrod's mother worked as an employee in a travel agency. Weisbrod studied philosophy in Cologne and at the Munich Center for Mathematical Philosophy. In 2005 he published a poem in a magazine related to the poetry slam environment . Weisbrod worked as an author for the weblog Riesenmaschine and the Süddeutsche Zeitung as well as Jetzt and as a columnist for Neon . In 2014 he completed the 35th course at the Henri Nannen School . He has been an editor in the features section of Die Zeit since 2015 and also writes for the American magazine New York . In 2017 and 2019 he was nominated for the German Reporter Award in the category "Best Cultural Criticism". Since July 2020 Weisbrod has been moderating the Zeit - Podcast The so-called present together with Ijoma Mangold and Nina Pauer .
