Nina Pauer

Nina Pauer (* 1982 in Hamburg ) is a German journalist and author.

Life

Pauer is the daughter of a Czech and a German who came from Prague and fled to Germany in 1968 . Nina Pauer studied history , sociology and journalism at the University of Hamburg and the Université Michel de Montaigne in Bordeaux . During her studies she worked at the Hamburg Institute for Social Research in the areas of “Nation and Society” and “The Society of the Federal Republic”.

In 2011 she published her first work Wir sind nicht Angst , in which she deals with the attitude towards life and the “luxury problems” of her generation in the form of a novel.

Pauer writes u. a. for ZEIT magazine and the features section of ZEIT.

Since July 2020 Nina Pauer moderated together with Ijoma Mangold and Lars Weisbrod the TIME - Podcast "The so-called present."
