The source of the Mühlenbach is at an altitude of 622  m above sea level. NN on the eastern edge of the Lohwiesen forest , southwest of the Bühlhof belonging to the municipality of Riedhausen in the Ravensburg district .

After the Lohwiesen and the border with the district of Sigmaringen , the Mühlenbach flows around the northern nature reserve " Laubbachmühle ", turns to the southwest at the Laubbacher Mühle and flows around 1.3 kilometers south of the Ostrach suburb of Laubbach on the edge of the Pfrunger-Burgweiler Ried from the right and Northeast at an altitude of 609  m above sea level. NN in the Ostrach.
