Maitral participated in junior races until 2018. She won the bronze medal in cross at the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer . In addition, she was there over 5 km freestyle and fifth in the sprint. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2016 in Râşnov , she finished 29th in the sprint, 25th place over 10 km freestyle and sixth place with the relay. In the 2015/16 season she achieved sixth place and in the 2016/17 season third place in the U20 classification of the Alpencup . She made her debut in the World Cup in December 2016 in La Clusaz , which she finished in 58th place in the 10 km mass start race and 13th place in the relay. Her best placings at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2017 in Soldier Hollow were 12th place over 5 km freestyle and fourth place with the relay. In the 2017/18 season she won the U20 classification of the Alpencup . At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Goms in 2018 , she was seventh in the skiathlon and sprint, sixth in classic over 5 km and fifth in the relay. In December 2018 he started in Valdidentro for the first time in the Alpine Cup and came in 11th place and 10 km freestyle and fifth place in the sprint and 10 km mass start race. At the U23 World Championships in Lahti in 2019 , she finished 29th in the sprint, 21st place in the 15 km mass start race and 17th place over 10 km freestyle. In February 2019 she achieved her first podium in the Alpine Cup with second place in the 15 km mass start race in Planica and her first World Cup points in Cogne with 27th place over 10 km in classic style. At the following Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld in Tyrol , she finished 43rd in the skiathlon and eighth in the relay. In March 2019 she won her first victory in the 10 km freestyle in Le Brassus and finally achieved fourth place in the overall ranking of the Alpine Cup.
