Laurențiu Constantin Brănescu (born March 30, 1994 in Râmnicu Vâlcea , Romania ) is a Romanian football player who plays in the position of goalkeeper . He has been under contract with Juventus Turin since 2013 .

Career

Brănescu began his career at his hometown club CSM Râmnicu Vâlcea , where he stood on October 10, 2009 at the age of 15 for the first time in the goal of the first team that played in League II at the time . By the end of 2010 there were five more assignments. In January 2011, the Italian record champions Juventus Turin signed him. There he played regularly in the youth team, the Primavera , and has been part of the professional squad since the 2012/13 season . For the 2013/14 season he was awarded to the second division team SS Juve Stabia and was the goalkeeper there at the beginning of the season. The Romanian made his professional debut on August 24, 2013 in the away game against Delfino Pescara in 1936 , which the SS Juve Stabia lost 3-0. In 2014 he moved within the series B to SS Virtus Lanciano . There he was not used in the second half of the season. In early 2015, Brănescu was awarded to Haladás Szombathely . Here, too, he could not prevail and was only used twice. In the summer of 2015, Juventus agreed a one-year loan deal with Omonia Nicosia . Here, too, he only stood between the posts twice.

In the summer of 2016, Brănescu was awarded to Dinamo Bucharest in his home country for two years . Here he was able to assert himself against Jaime Penedo and secure the place in the goal. He sustained an injury in February 2017 and was out for the rest of the 2016/17 season .

National team

He played his first game for Romania's U-21s on March 21, 2013, when they lost 3-0 to England . Brănescu was also used in the 2-2 draw against the Faroe Islands U-21 team.
