Laurent Genefort
Laurent Genefort (born February 18, 1968 in Montreuil , Seine-Saint-Denis department ) is a French writer of science fiction and fantasy .
He is best known for his cycle about the planet Omale and the 2015 novel Lum'en , which won three of the most prestigious French SF prizes with the Grand Prix de l'Imaginaire , the Prix Julia-Verlanger and the Prix Rosny aîné . Genefort is considered a master of modern space opera and creator of compelling fictional universes . In 1996, these were also the subject of his dissertation Architecture du livre-univers dans la science-fiction , which was based on the example of five novels - in addition to Frank Herbert's Dune and Stefan Wul, who was particularly valued by Genefortwith Noô - a theory of fictional universes and worlds developed in the SF.
