Lausi ( Lauisi ) is an East Timorese Suco and Aldeia in the administrative office of Aileu Vila ( municipality of Aileu ).

The Suco Lausi is located in the southeast of the administrative office of Aileu Vila.

In 2003, the Sucos Lequitura in the southwest and Hurai Raco in the southeast were added to Lausi, so that Lausi had an area of 5.24 km². In 2015, a large part of the area of Bandudato in the north was added, so that the territory of Lausi increased to 42.40 km². In 2017, however, Lequitura was separated again with the Aldeias Lequitura and Rairema and became independent.

The three Aldeias Erbuti , Lausi and Riafusun are located in the Suco .

Residents

In 2015, 1420 inhabitants lived in Suco before the separation from Lequitura, of which 736 were men and 684 women. The population density was 33.5 inhabitants / km². There were 212 households in the Suco. Over 85% of the population said Mambai was their mother tongue. The rest speak Tetum Prasa .

politics

In the 2004/2005 elections, Domingos de Araújo was elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections, Domingos Mendes won and in 2016 Adelaide de Carvalho .
