Manual 1925 - Lausitzer Radfahrer-Bund eV, districts, federal associations and federal rest stops of the LRB , pp. 11–31

The Lausitzer Radfahrer-Bund (LRB) was founded in Demitz-Thumitz in 1906 by Georg Pauli and 28 members of his local cycling club. The federal office of the LRB was until at least 1906 in Demitz-Thumitz and later in Pulsnitz . Members of the LRB were individuals and cycling clubs from Upper Lusatia.

The chairmen of the LRB were Georg Pauli from Demitz-Thumitz 1906–1920, Emil Thieme from Pulsnitz 1920–1922, Max Lehmann from Bautzen 1922–1923 and Max Keul from Steinigtwolmsdorf from 1924.

The LRB's services for members include insurance and legal protection, border maps, handbooks and song books, awards for touring as well as art, dance and racing trips, route maps, advice, discounts and the federal newspaper. National festivals, championships such as road driving for the Lausitz championships , Whitsun, federal and district trips were held regularly . A list of preferred recommended federal rest stops was used to advertise inns, restaurants and hotels that were close to the LRB and whose owners were probably LRB members themselves - as cyclists or to encourage cyclists to stop as LRB federal members.

From 1931 on, the LRB was called the Lausitzer Rad- und Kraftfahrer-Bund e. V. From July 2nd, 1924, the LRB belonged to the Association of German Cycling Associations . The VDRV was founded in Kassel in 1924 and comprised eleven associations in 1925. The Upper Lusatian Cyclists' Association based in Zittau was - like the LRB - a member of the association. Members of the Lausitzer Radfahrer-Bund were not automatically members of the General Cyclist Union . The main consulate in Lausitz also announced its own trips for ARU members in the Radler-Post . After the re-establishment of the ARU as the German Cyclist Union (DRU) there are no reports from the LRB and Lusatian cycling clubs to be found in the association magazine Rad-Union from 1920.

Like many other associations, the LRB was dissolved in 1933.

According to Georg Pauli, after 1906 the LRB "soon spread across the Saxon and Prussian Lusatia" with "most recently over 6000 members and approx. 200 clubs ".

German Radler-Post

The Deutsche Radler-Post was published as a federal newspaper from 1911 - initially as the official organ of the Lausitz Cyclists Association, the Cyclists and Motorists Club "Saxon Switzerland" and the Saxon Switzerland main consulate of the General Cyclists Union ., Later with the ARU's main consulate Lausitz as a specialist magazine for the overall interests of cycling and the specialist industry . In 1913 the newspaper states the circulation was 1600 copies. Later, probably after the First World War, the paper appeared under the name Lausitzer Radlerpost in a further 23 years.
