The Lautenbach is a creek about one kilometer long in the district of Sohl and the Lautenbach named after him in the municipality of Herdwangen-Schönach . It rises at about 641  m above sea level. NHN in the western part of Sohl and flows consistently westwards, only towards the neighboring Lautenbach, which it crosses with a twist .

After the end of the town, it reappears in a pond, but then disappears again in a field in a hollow and soon flows out at about 575  m above sea level. NHN from the left into the Linzer Aach , also called Salemer Aach , next to the road to Sahlenbach .
