Lauterbach is a district of the Steingaden community in the Weilheim-Schongau district in Upper Bavaria .

location

The village is in the open, just under two kilometers northeast of Steingaden. The federal highway 17 coming from Steingaden leads through it.

history

Lauterbach became an independent political municipality in the district court of Schongau in the course of the administrative reforms in the Kingdom of Bavaria in 1818 . Districts were:

On April 1, 1939, Lauterbach merged with two neighboring communities to form the Steingaden community.
