Lavinia Jones (* 17th August 1973 in Johannesburg ) is a South African pop and Euro dance - singer . Her biggest hit Sing It to You (Dee-Doob-Dee-Doo) was released in 1994.
biography
In her early teens, Lavinia Jones wanted to be a poet . When she was 14 years old, she moved to Munich with her family and learned German , English , Italian , Dutch and French at the European School . In addition to some jobs as a model and TV presenter , she appeared in theater and musicals . Her song Sing It to You (Dee-Doob-Dee-Doo) was produced by Andy Knote , who wrote it with Jo Mersmann, and published in 1994 by Virgin . In Austria , the South African's debut single rose to the top 10 , in Germany and Great Britain to medium chart ranks.
For the 1995 documentary For me it should rain red roses , Jones sang with the leading actress Hildegard Knef Rodgers and Hart's The Lady Is a Tramp in a duet . At the end of 1997 she traveled through Namibia , Zambia , Zimbabwe and Botswana for two months to shoot a documentary about the country and its people for n-tv . A month-long tour of Australia followed with the same purpose . At the end of the 1990s, the singer took a break and only returned to business in 2002.
In 2003 Jones played a nurse in the movie Die to Live - Das Musikill . Her song My Mans became part of the soundtrack . In the summer of 2005, the album Chemistry was released , on which the Munich resident finally said goodbye to Euro-Dance. Andreas Ecker of The Headroom Project remixed released and unreleased tracks for the 2007 Sire EP in 2006 . In the same year the album @ngel hit stores.
