Lazar Marković ( Serbian - Cyrillic Лазар Марковић ; born March 2, 1994 in Čačak , FR Yugoslavia , today Serbia ) is a Serbian football player .
Player career
Club soccer
At the age of twelve, Marković moved from Borac Čačak to Partizan Belgrade . There he went through the youth teams of the club. In July 2011 he turned professional at Partizan. He scored his first goal for Partizan on August 13, 2011. For the 2013/14 season, he moved to Benfica Lisbon . With Benfica he won the Portuguese championship, the Taça de Portugal and the Taça da Liga in the 2013/14 season . In addition, Benfica reached the final of the UEFA Europa League in the same season , which they lost in Turin with 2: 4 on penalties against FC Sevilla . Marković himself was suspended for the final due to a red card that he had bought as a player in the semi-final second leg at Juventus Turin .
For the 2014/15 season , Marković moved to Liverpool at the age of 20 . On August 30, 2015, he went on loan to the Turkish Süper Lig at Fenerbahçe Istanbul until the end of the 2015/16 season . In the summer of 2016 he returned to Liverpool FC, now coached by Jürgen Klopp , but did not play there on the first match days. On August 31, 2016, he joined Sporting Lisbon on loan until the end of the 2016/17 season . In other short loan deals he played for Hull City in 2017 and for RSC Anderlecht in 2018 .
At the end of January 2019, he finally moved to Fulham FC until the end of the season . After only one appearance in the Premier League for Fulham, he left the club at the end of the 2018/19 season.
