Le Castella is a district of the Italian municipality Isola di Capo Rizzuto in the province of Crotone .

The place is located on the Ionian coast in Calabria , 10 km from Isola di Capo Rizzuto and has around 400 inhabitants.

With its beaches and sights, the place forms the tourist center of the municipality of Isola di Capo Rizzuto. The nature reserve Riserva Marina Capo Rizzuto in particular attracts guests to the town in the summer months. In addition to diving and snorkeling excursions, trips with glass bottom ships are also offered.
Attractions
The townscape is determined by an Aragonese fort . The striking complex formed the backdrop for the films The Incredible Adventures of the Commendable Knight Branca Leone by Mario Monicelli and The First Gospel - Matthew by Pier Paolo Pasolini .
