The Province of Crotone (Italian Provincia di Crotone ) is one of the five provinces of the Italian region of Calabria . The capital is Crotone . It has 170,718 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in 27 municipalities on an area of 1716 km².
The province was separated from the province of Catanzaro on March 6, 1992 .
