Roccabernarda is a southern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 3297 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Crotone in Calabria . The municipality is located about 22.5 kilometers west-northwest of Crotone on the Tacina . The northern municipal boundary is the Neto .

history

The origin of the place may lie in the ancient Greek settlement of the area. Initially known as Re pagano , a castle complex was built at this point ( Rocca Bernarda ).
