Ten - Sin and you will be redeemed is a German short film from 2011 . It is the last film in which Johannes Heesters participated.
action
The bon vivant Hannes dies in an accident and leaves behind a daughter suffering from leukemia . At the gate of heaven he feels his fate as a deep injustice and blasphemes against God and his commandments. Petrus (here called "transit manager Mr. Peterson") offers him a bet: He has to break all Ten Commandments within 30 minutes, then he can accompany his little daughter in her last months. If he loses, he'll go to hell. The tasks are to be fulfilled in the legendary Munich pub Schwabinger 7 , where Hannes encounters all sorts of shrill characters such as the drag queen Bruno or “der Gestalt” in a silver suit. The prohibition of murder in particular presents Hannes with a moral dilemma.
background
The title Ten (English: "ten") refers to the number of commandments in the Decalogue . The film was the last role for Heesters as well as for the set: The world's oldest active actor died three and a half weeks after the premiere and the cult pub Schwabinger 7 was demolished just a few days after the shooting ended.
Reviews
Despite the cast and setting, the film did not receive good reviews: Cinema described it as "unsafe in taste" and "confused".
