Leah Striker (born June 13, 1973 in Göttingen , Lower Saxony ) is an American film camerawoman who oversaw over 25 film productions, including films such as Wolfskinder , Stiller Sommer , Die Kleine und die Böse , Krieg or Endzeit .

life and career

The US American Leah Striker was born in Göttingen and studied camera at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles , where she graduated in 2005. Striker, who worked both in Europe and in other parts of the world, began her career in 2000 as an assistant camerawoman and camera operator. Since 2005 she has also been responsible for short, feature and television films as a full-time camerawoman. Her films have been shown at international festivals, including the Venice Biennale and the Berlinale . Her films include Mein Freund aus Faro and Stiller Sommer for director Nana Neul , Wolfskinder und Krieg for director Rick Ostermann , Die Kleinen und die Böse for director Markus Sehr , Shepherds and Butchers for director Oliver Schmitz and Endzeit for director Carolina Hellsgård .

Leah Striker is a member of the German Film Academy and lives in Berlin .
