The LebensWeGe was a reggae band from Cologne / Bonn .
The band combines elements of reggae , dancehall and ska in their songs .
history
The band was founded in 2002. The fans call them "WG" for short. In the beginning, the performances took place only on a smaller scale. But as early as 2003, LebensWeGe took part in the John Lennon Talent Award and made it to the semi-finals and thus among the top 20 of 1600 participants. From then on the popularity of the band increased and bigger supports as well as own concerts were played. Highlights were among others the Ska-P -Support 2003, the appearances on Rheinkultur 2004 & 2007, the Nosliw -Support 2005 and the appearance at the Open Flair Festival 2006 among others with Seeed and the Bloodhound Gang . In 2007 they won Reggaegrammy and followed in the footsteps of last year's winner Seeed.
In 2008 the band broke up. Further activities of the individual members followed.
In 2015 there was a big reunion appearance at the first RockAue Festival in Bonn's Rheinauen. The WG performed there in full cast (all-time band members) and thrilled the masses in front of the main stage. At the same time, she announced that she would repeat this in another 7 years for her loyal fans.
