The Lebersee is around 10 hectares of water in Egsdorf , a district of the town of Teupitz in the Dahme-Spreewald district in the state of Brandenburg

location

The lake is located in the western part of the district of Egsdorf. The nature reserve Kleine and Mittelleber connects to the south . This is where the Gallun Canal is also the inflow that drains into the lake from the south. To the south-west is the Zossen district of Zesch am See , north of the Mittenwald district of Töpchin , to the east is the city center.

History and use

The body of water is already recorded in the Schmettauschen map series from 1767 to 1787. A smaller lake can be seen to the south, but it has now silted up. Until 1945 there was still a Vorwerk , but it is no longer there in the 21st century either. However, a residential space is still shown in the district. There are no designated swimming areas. A hiking trail leads past the lake on the eastern bank.
