Leford Green (born November 14, 1986 ) is a Jamaican athlete who specializes in the 400-meter and 400-meter hurdles .

Career

In 2007, Green joined the World Athletics Championships in Osaka for the Jamaican 4 x 400 meter relay and came in fourth in the final together with Michael Blackwood , Ricardo Chambers and Sanjay Ayre with a time of 3: 00.76 minutes . In 2010 he became the Jamaican master over 400 hurdles. At the Central American and Caribbean Athletics Championships in Mayagüez ( Puerto Rico ) in 2011 , he won gold in the 400-meter hurdles and a bronze medal in the Jamaican 4-by-400-meter relay with a time of 49.03 seconds.

At the World Athletics Championships in Daegu in 2011 , Green did not get over the 400 meter hurdles beyond the semifinals, where he came in fourth with a time of 49.29 seconds. For the Jamaican 4 x 400 meter relay team, he started in the final together with Allodin Fothergill , Jermaine Gonzales and Riker Hylton and won the bronze medal with a time of 3: 00.10 minutes.

At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, he reached the final run over 400 meter hurdles and finished seventh with a time of 49.12 seconds.
