Leia Holtwick (born April 18, 2002 in Wiesbaden ) is a German actress and model .

Life

Holtwick was born in Wiesbaden and grew up in Trebur . After she was initially active in inline skating in her childhood , she began athletics at the age of ten and was able to win several Hessian championship titles in sprint disciplines as an athlete for TV Groß-Gerau in the youth classes . In 2017 Holtwick finished fourth over 300 meters at the German U16 championships and also placed fourth in the German U16 best list over the same distance. For 2018, she was then included in the junior squad 2 of the German Athletics Association .

During the 2015 summer vacation, Holtwick was approached by a Russian model scoutin on Ibiza , whereupon she was signed by the Munich agency Louisa Models . She came to acting in 2018 when she was invited to the casting for the film Immenhof - The Adventure of a Summer without any previous acting experience . Before that, the director Sharon von Wietersheim had not cast the main role of Lou eight weeks before the start of shooting, despite 2,500 previous castings, and then asked Holtwick's agency boss. Holtwick received the approval for the role on the day of the casting and in the film, which opened in January 2019, plays a 16-year-old who, together with her two sisters, fights for the future of the jointly managed Immenhof farm after the death of their father.

Holtwick has a secondary school diploma and has been attending a high school in Rüsselsheim since then .
