Leigh Ann Brown (* 17th August 1986 in Poway , California as Leigh Ann Robinson ) is a former American football player who most recently in the 2015 season when FC Kansas City was under contract.
Career
society
Brown began her professional career in 2007 with the San Diego Sunwaves in the W-League . After the dissolution of the Sunwaves, she joined the WPSL participant San Diego United . A year later, Brown moved to the WPS for FC Gold Pride and played in the following years for the league rivals Atlanta Beat and Philadelphia Independence . A follow-up contract for the 2012 season with Philadelphia that had already been concluded lost its validity after the WPS was dissolved.
In the first half of 2012 Brown played for the Russian Champions League participant FK Rossijanka and was eliminated with this in the quarter-finals of the competition against Turbine Potsdam . In the summer of 2012 she moved back to the USA and joined the New York Fury .
In February 2013 Brown was signed by FC Kansas City and made her league debut on April 13, 2013 against Portland Thorns FC . In the 2013 season she was in all 22 games of the season in the starting lineup Kansas and was only substituted once, in the last game of the season, due to injury. By the end of the 2015 season, Brown only missed one game of the season and won the NWSL championship with the FCKC in 2014 and 2015. She ended her career at the end of October 2015.
National team
Her debut in the senior team gave Brown on September 3, 2013 test international match against Mexico at the side of her teammate Erika Tymrak .
