The Leither Bach is a flowing body of water in the border area between the two cities of Essen and Bochum . It is a four kilometer long and left tributary of the Schwarzbach .

The Leither Bach forms the border between the Rhineland Leithe in the former Essen Abbey and the Westphalian Leithe in the former County of Mark . It rises on the Mesenhohl on the street Im Helf and flows further north in Gelsenkirchen-Rotthausen into the Schwarzbach.
