Lemke is a village in Lower Saxony . It belongs to the municipality of Marklohe in the district of Nienburg / Weser . Lemke is 4 km to the west of the district town of Nienburg / Weser . The Weser flows east 2 km away.
history
In the industrial area adjacent to the south on a silted-up arm of the Weser, the prehistoric and early historical settlement of Lemke is an area that dates back to the Neolithic around 2800 BC. As well as the pre-Roman Iron Age up to the beginning of the Roman Empire between the 5th century BC. BC and the 5th century AD was settled in phases. This has been shown by archaeological research since around 2001.
