The Lenox Township is one of 15 townships in Warren County in the west of the US -amerikanischen state of Illinois .
The township was founded on November 8, 1853; the administration was established on April 4, 1854.

The township lies at 40 ° 51 '12 "north latitude and 90 ° 36' 53" west longitude and extends over 94.3 km², which consists exclusively of land.
The Lenox Township is immediately south of the area of the city of Monmouth , where the administrative seat of Warren County is located.
The township is 23 miles east of the Mississippi River , which forms the border between Illinois and Iowa .

The US Highway 67 leading into a north-south direction through the Lenox Township. US Highway 34 crosses in the northwest of the township .
A railway line of the BNSF Railway runs through the township in a northeast-southwest direction and runs from Chicago to the west and southwest. Amtrak passenger trains also operate on the route .
