Leo Wispler

Leo Wispler (born February 22, 1890 in Münder / Deister ; † September 1958 ) was a German architect and writer .

Life

Leo Wispler attended high school in Rinteln and studied at the TH Munich and Hanover, where he passed the diploma examination in 1919. In 1922 he received his doctorate in engineering with a thesis on the history of architecture at the Technical University of Hanover . He later worked for the Hamburg building authorities , most recently as senior building officer . In addition, since the 1930s he published novels and short stories that can be classified as apolitical entertainment literature. His most successful work was the novel Spiel im Sommerwind , which was filmed in 1938 by Roger von Norman .

With his wife, Margarete, geb. Pellens and his three children lived in Hamburg-Osdorf.
