Leodegar Keller

Leodegar Keller (born March 8, 1642 in Ruswil , † October 8, 1722 in Lucerne ) came from the Lucerne patriciate . He was a minor councilor , land clerk and salt director.

Life

Leodegar Keller was the son of Jakob Keller and Dorothea, nee Pfyffer von Altishofen , whose great-grandfather was Ludwig Pfyffer von Altishofen . In 1661 he married Anna Maria Clauser. After her death in 1670 he married Maria Elisabeth Barbara Xaveria Feer von Buttisholz (1649–1736), a daughter of Lucerne Minor Councilor Leopold XII Feer von Buttisholz (1608–1656), whose grandfather ( Leopold IX Feer von Buttisholz ) 1570/71 the had the late Gothic Buttisholz Castle built. A son of Leodegar and Maria Keller-Feer was the later delegate of the Diet , Vogt and Lucerne minor councilor Anton Leodegar Keller .

Services

In 1664, at the age of 22, Keller was elected to the Great Council of Locarno (former name: Luggarus), of which he was a member until 1677. From 1666 he also worked as a land clerk. From 1677 to 1722 he was a member of the small council, 1697 salt director, 1699 envoy in Milan, 1713 banner lord , 1714 governor . In addition to Milan, he was also envoy to Paris and Madrid.

In 1719 he received from Emperor Karl VI. the letter of nobility and was raised to hereditary nobility with the name "Keller von Kellern" .
