Leonardo Henrique Veloso (born May 29, 1987 in Pedro Leopoldo ) is a Brazilian soccer player .

Career

Veloso played in the youth division of the traditional Brazilian club Atlético Mineiro . From there he moved to Europe in January 2008, where Willem II Tilburg signed him. There he signed a 2 ½ year contract. In the first six months he had problems getting used to and only played for the reserve team. It was not until the 2008/09 season that he became a full member of the Tilburg squad. On August 30, 2008, he finally made his debut in the dress of Willem II in a 2-1 home win against Ajax Amsterdam . During his first year as a professional, he came to regular appearances.

During the winter break of 2009/10, Léo Veloso moved to Romania to CFR Cluj , where he won the double in his first year . In the summer of 2011 his contract was not renewed and he was without a club for half a year before Chornomorez Odessa brought him to the Ukrainian Premjer-Liha . It was only rarely used there until the end of 2013. In 2014 he returned to Brazil to Goiás EC . He finished the 2014 season with his team in midfield. Early 2015, he moved to Santa Cruz FC in the Série B . He later played for other clubs in the state championship of São Paulo .
