Leone Proserpio
Leone Proserpio SJ (born May 8, 1878 in Alba , Province of Cuneo , Italy , † September 8, 1945 ) was Bishop of Calicut .
Life
Leone Proserpio joined the Congregation of the Jesuits in and received on 26 October 1910, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On December 2, 1937, Pope Pius XI appointed him . to the bishop of Calicut. The Archbishop of Bombay , Thomas Roberts SJ, donated him episcopal ordination on March 13, 1938 ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Mangalore , Vittore Rosario Fernandes , and the Bishop of Trichur , Francis Vazhapilly .
