Aldo Maria Patroni SJ (born September 22, 1904 in Sernio , Province of Sondrio , Italy , † September 22, 1988 ) was Bishop of Calicut .

Life

Aldo Maria Patroni joined the Congregation of the Jesuits in and received on 21 November 1934, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On April 8, 1948, Pope Pius XII appointed him . to the bishop of Calicut. The Apostolic Delegate to British India , Archbishop Leo Peter Kierkels CP , donated him episcopal ordination on June 27 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Mangalore , Vittore Rosario Fernandes , and the Archbishop of Bangalore , Thomas Pothacamury .

On June 7, 1980, Pope John Paul II accepted Aldo Maria Patroni's resignation due to reasons of age.
