Leopold Arnsperger (doctor)

Leopold Arnsperger (born May 17, 1834 in Pforzheim ; † April 23, 1906 in Karlsruhe ) was a physician and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Arnsperger was born in Pforzheim in 1834 as the son of the later chief forester KF Arnsperger. He attended high school in Karlsruhe, Bruchsal and Heidelberg and studied medicine at the University of Heidelberg from 1852 to 1856. In 1857 he passed the state examination and was awarded his doctorate in medicine in 1858. From 1847 to 1864 he was an assistant doctor at the sanatorium and nursing home in Pforzheim, then assistant doctor to the local court and district court, and in 1877 he became a district doctor in Pforzheim, since 1881 with the title of medical advisor. In 1882 he became medical consultant in the Baden Ministry of the Interior and district doctor in Karlsruhe, and in 1887 senior medical officer. In 1889 he was retired for health reasons with the title of a Privy Councilor, 3rd class.

From 1884 to 1887 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Grand Duchy of Baden 10 (Karlsruhe, Bruchsal ) and the National Liberal Party .
