Leopoldo Sumaylo Tumulak (born September 29, 1944 in Santander , † June 17, 2017 in San Juan ) was a Filipino Roman Catholic clergyman and military bishop of the Philippines .

Life

Leopoldo Sumaylo Tumulak was ordained a priest on March 30, 1971 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Cebu and titular bishop of Lesvi on January 12, 1987 . He was ordained bishop by the Archbishop of Cebu, Ricardo Jamin Cardinal Vidal , on March 16 of the same year; Co-consecrators were Angel N. Lagdameo , coadjutor bishop of Dumaguete , and Manuel S. Salvador , coadjutor archbishop of Cebu.

On November 28, 1992, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Tagbilaran and on January 15, 2005, he was appointed Military Bishop of the Philippines .
