Angel Nacorda Lagdameo (born August 2, 1940 in Lucban ) is a Filipino clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Archbishop of Jaro .

Life

Angel Nacorda Lagdameo was ordained a priest on December 19, 1964 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Oreto and auxiliary bishop in Cebu on June 19, 1980 . The Apostolic Nuncio in the Philippines , Archbishop Bruno Torpigliani , donated his episcopal ordination on August 12 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Ricardo Jamin Vidal , Archbishop of Lipa , and José Tomás Sánchez , Bishop of Lucena .

On 31 January 1986 it appointed Pope to Coadjutor Bishop of Dumaguete . With Epifanio Surban Belmonte's retirement on May 30, 1989, he succeeded this in the office of Bishop of Dumaguete and he was introduced to the office on August 2 of the same year.

On March 11, 2000, he was appointed Archbishop of Jaro . Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on February 14, 2018.
