Lerchenrain is a living space within the boundaries of the Tauberbischofsheimer district Dittwar in Main-Tauber-Kreis in Franconia dominated northeastern Baden-Wuerttemberg .

geography

The Lerchenrain residential area is located about one kilometer southeast of Dittwar. The place is drained by a stream from the Lerchenklinge, which flows into the Muckbach from the right and southeast after the last house in Dittwar .

Cultural monuments

About 400 meters east of the residential area there are two small monuments on a farm road. After the path crosses the A 81 immediately afterwards, it leads to the so-called Wetterkreuz , a cultural monument from 1714, which was built as an "eternal memory" of a major storm damage and is now shown on many hiking maps. Its pedestal formed the boundary stone to the former districts of the five old communities ( Distelhausen , Dittigheim , Dittwar, Lauda and Oberlauda ), whose coats of arms are depicted on it.
