Leslie Norris

Leslie Norris (born May 21, 1921 in Merthyr Tydfil , Glamorganshire , † April 6, 2006 in Provo , Utah ) was a Welsh writer.

Life

He studied at Coventry Training College and the University of Southampton . He then worked as a teacher and school director. In the years 1958-1970 he worked as a teacher for English at the College of Education in Bognor Regis . From 1974 he worked as a freelance writer and critic. In addition, he was visiting professor at universities in the United States , such as the University of Washington in Seattle and Brigham Young University in Provo.

He wrote poems, short stories and children's stories. In 1978 he received the Cholmondeley Award .
