Lest is a village in the municipality of Kefermarkt in the Freistadt district , Upper Austria .
The scattered settlement is located south of Freistadt and about one kilometer west of the Mühlkreis Autobahn . On January 1, 2020, the village had 305 inhabitants.
history
The earliest written document is from 1270 and is identical to today's spelling. The name goes back to old Slavic leska , which means hazel bush . The field name was transferred to the river and settlement.
